So, I’ve been watching The Larry Sanders Show from the beginning, and being at the end of season 2, I thought now would be a good time to write some of my thoughts down. This show is phenomenal. I am sad that I wasn’t old enough to appreciate it when it was originally on the air, but watching it now is better than nothing. This show is absolute genius. From neurotic Larry Sanders, played to perfection, all the way down to Darlene, played by his ex-wife Linda Doucett, this show has it all! The supporting cast is second to none, I mean, Jeffrey Tambor alone could carry this show, but then you add Rip Torn in the gut-busting role of Artie and this show is just leaps and bounds beyond anything before and after it. Oh, did I mention a young Jeremy Piven, Janeane Garofalo, and Wallace Langham?
If you’re not familiar with the show, the premise is pretty simple. Larry Sanders is a fictional late-night talkshow host and the series follows the behind the scenes world of late-night TV.
I won’t go into any more detail, but I highly recommend watching this if you’re my age and missed out or were just too stupid to watch it when it was on in the early 90’s.
Reliving an incredible show. Give it a listen, it’s something special.
I didn’t think the Katamari franchise could surpass its own awesomeosity…and then a trailer like this comes along and blows my fucking mind. My ever-growing PS3 void has just become unfathomably deeper.
And no, it is not enough that I own a 360, Wii, PS2 (and a DS, if we’re including non-consoles), no matter what you say. Sure, I have Katamari Damacy, We Love Katamari and Beautiful Katamari, I can’t very well download Katamari Forever and Noby Noby Boy on any of those, now can I?
The Mighty Boosh landed in America last week to promote the release of their DVD here in the states. I met up with them in San Diego and spent a day and night in their world - and what a world it is.
This was taken backstage at their Comic-Con panel.
I don’t think they had any idea how many fans they had in the States.
